Bonjours printer names are Bob Printer, RM106, RM111, RM124 and CompJet. When iPad connected to Teachers SSID it can see all the HPLJ 1102w Printers on the network. Printers are connected to Teachers SSID/VLAN. Client is a school so we set up separate VLANs and SSIDs for Students and Teachers. Client also needed AirPrint to work for iPads to print to HP LaserJet 1102w Wireless Printers. Enabled Multicast on the WLC to get AirPlay to work on iPads. We deployed a Cisco 2054 WLC with 20x1042 APs. I would rather not setup a Ubuntu server to act as a bonjour gateway if I can avoid it. To the best of my knowledge, I have configured the WLC per Cisco requirements to allow multicast. I thought that perhaps someone else has encountered this in the Spiceworks community and could offer another path. I have tried many different things and configurations from several blogs/articles from Cisco and others but to no avail. The printer is on the network with a valid IP address and can be reached through a browser. We have 37 switches but all access points are connected only to the 3750 switches. I am using the Cisco 1142 Access Points with the 2504 WLC. For what it is worth - we cannot use the Reflection app either without hooking up a Wal-Mart caliber access point and connecting both iPad and laptop to it. I believe this to be a network/wireless configuration issue preventing the bonjour service through. At work, however, on the Cisco Network - the iPad cannot find any airPrint printers. I have an identical printer at home and iPad printing works fine. The printer has the necessary technology in place so that no app is needed on the iPad. I've been struggling for some time to get our iPads to print on an HP CP1525nw printer.
